- Collaborated with the contractors during production blasting activities – charging of explosives into drilled holes, stemming and connection of charged holes.

- Compiled and rendered reports on equipment utilization (haul trucks, excavators, graders, dozers and pay loaders) by collection of man-hours/hour-metres per shift, cycle time, distance hauled
- Conducted blast monitoring and checking to ensure conformity to environmental standards (noise levels, ground vibrations, shock frequency)
- Assisted with blast report compiling after blast operations and site inspection to characterize blast efficiency and fragmentation.
- Carried out laboratory analyses and test on cement products at the quality assurance and control labs (setting time, consistency, expansion, Blaine, residue, compressive strength, moisture content, Loss on ignition, free lime e.t.c.)
- Inspection and validation of critical parameters in plants and equipment at different production shops (Vertical Roller mill, Kiln, weigh feeders, separators, roller presses and cement mills).
- Assisted in the blasting operations; Drill and Blast design calculations and charging of drilled holes with explosives.
- Inspection and observation of aggregate crushing plant operations – locating worn-out rollers, reporting belt snaps and clogging of crushing chamber (feeders and hoppers) so as to prevent them from impeding operations.
- Post-blast inspections with the site mining engineer to check for fragmentation characterization and Quarry safety conformity.
- All other duties assigned to the intern i.e. in administrative capacity.
